The Methodist Church played an active role in the clandestine and armed national liberation struggle by awakening the spirit of Angolan nationalists, said Tuesday the church?s Reverend, Adilson de Almeida.
The church authority who was speaking to Angop mentioned Amilcar Cabral and other political leaders as having begun in Methodist Church from where they moved to different African countries and found a greater force for unity.
