Tanzania: State Restricts Parents' Education Contributions

Dodoma — THE government has issued a circular restricting all education contributions to first get approvals of district education inspectors, Deputy Minister of State, Prime Minister's Office (Regional Administration and Local Government-Education), Mr Kassim Majaliwa has said.

He said that in order to control illegal contributions from parents in schools, the government had issued a circular that obliges all schools to ensure that any letter going out to parents calling for contributions should first be approved by district education inspectors.
