Kenya: MPs Back Mutua in Land Row After Machakos Tour

The Parliamentary Committee on Agriculture on Wednesday evening undertook a fact-finding tour of the proposed new Machakos city land. On Tuesday, Agriculture Secretary Felix Koskei told Mutua to demolish structures that he had put up on the land and move his people out.

He said the land belonged to his ministry and had been set aside for animal research. The committee supported Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua. They accused the Koskei of politicising the issue.
