Kenya: KCPE Examinations Begins Today

More than 840 thousand candidates are sitting for their KCPE exams today. The exams are expected to end on Thursday. Kenya National Examination Council boss Paul Wasanga says the exams will take place in more than 23 thousand examination centers.

He says all measures have been put in place to ensure the exams proceed without hitches. In Mombasa, 40 inmates at Shimo la Tewa Maximum prison are sitting for the exams while In Muranga the exams kicked off smoothly despite a delay in the arrival of exam papers due to heavy rains while in the north rift region no major hitches have been reported.
