Kenya: Terror Suspects Remanded, Bail Hearing Put Off

The four men linked to the Westgate Mall terror attack are to be remanded until November 20. Chief magistrate Kiarie Waweru Kiarie ordered the suspects to be remanded to enable defence lawyers go through an affidavit sworn by inspector Kenndy Musyoki opposing bail application.

The suspects were scheduled to respond to the prosecution bail objection but their lawyer Mbugua Mureithi applied for more time to enable him go through the affidavit before replying to the prosecution's objection. Prosecutor James Mungai said the four suspects are flight risks. He said if they are released on bond they will not come back to court for the trial.
