Figures from Ghana's National Communications Authority (NCA) have revealed that Mobile data subscription in the country decreased by 3.6 % from 10,564,180 recorded at the end of August 2013 to 10,187,768 as at the end of September 2013. This drop brings the country's overall internet penetration from 40.7% to about 30.6%.
Given the breakdown of the figures, the NCA said during the period under review: "Airtel's subscriber base decreased noticeably by 21.45 % from 1,615,729 subscribers at the end of August 2013, to 1,269,087 subscribers at the end of September 2013.
