Kenya: Uasin Gishu Deputy Governor Faults Corruption Report

13 November 2013

The Uasin Gishu County Government has faulted the corruption index report released by the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) which ranked the county as the most corrupt. Deputy Governor Daniel Chemno has termed the report as malicious because the survey was done before the counties came into effect yet its findings are based on counties. Chemno however says Governor for the area Jackson Mandago has already put in place systems to fight graft in public offices and other other areas.
