Kenya: UK to Back Repatriation of Refugees

14 November 2013

THE British government will support the voluntary repatriation of Somalia refugees from Kenya. British High Commissioner Christian Turner said the agreement is a step towards realising durable peace and stability in the region.

"The agreement represents a milestone that we have been encouraging for some time. But it's just one step towards the more challenging task of safe and voluntary returns. We will continue to support Kenya and Somalia, together with UNHCR, to achieve this aim," he said.
