Mustapha Umar, 34, was yesterday sentenced to life imprisonment by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, following his conviction for terrorism. The court found Umar guilty of participating in a bomb attack on buildings occupied by This Day, The Moment and The Sun in Kaduna last April. Three persons were killed in the incident while many others were injured.
During the trial, the court was told how Umar was rescued by the police from an angry mob after the incident and taken to the hospital as he sustained serious injuries.
