Nigeria: 'Kaduna Petrochemical Company Has Never Experienced Oil Spill'

Kaduna — The Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KRPC) has never experienced oil spillage since commencement of operation, acting Managing Director of the company Mr Balfred Enjugu said yesterday.

Enjugu, who spoke at an event to mark the 2013 Health, Safety and Environment Week said: "Since we commenced refining of crude oil into high value petroleum and petrochemical products and also manufacturing of packaged products, we have not recorded spills and our immediate communities have remained safe."

He said the company will continue to develop robust emergency response and business continuity plans and other safety initiatives that will keep the company and host community safe.
