Zimbabwe: 12 Air Force of Zimbabwe Officers Promoted

President Mugabe has promoted two Air Force of Zimbabwe Wing Commanders to the rank of Group Captains and elevated five Squadron Leaders to the rank of Wing Commanders.

Cde Mugabe, who is also Commander-in-Chief of the Zimbabwe Defence Forces also promoted five officers to the rank of Squadron Leader. The promotions were made after the senior officers distinguished themselves in executing their duties. AFZ commander Air Marshal Perrance Shiri conferred the 12 officers with their new ranks in Harare yesterday. Officers conferred with the Group Captains rank were Washington Makurumidze and Donald Mutangadura while Dakarai Muraicho, Moses Mabeka, Wellington Mawire, Wilbrought Chirau and Patson Nyamudyambanje were elevated to the rank of Wing Commanders.
