Zambians Getting Raw Deal From Construction Industry

On November 12, 2013, the Minister of Transport and Communication was quoted in the print media as having expressed his disappointment that no Zambian contractor was sub-contracted on the new bus station in Livingstone when the Government made it clear that 20 per cent of such works should go to local companies.

I will be able to generate urgently a Statutory Instrument to support what I am saying... We want our contractors, our engineers to benefit and stop complaining but they should be the people empowering other Zambians."
