Somalia: Central Bank of Somalia Has a New Governor After Former Governor Resigned

The Central Bank of Somalia has a new governor after the former short time governor has resigned on early November. Bashir Isse was appointed as the new governor of the bank, according to a presidential decree.

Mr Isse will replace Yusur Abrar, the first female bank governor who has resigned following tough allegations on corruption inside the government offices. The nomination came after diplomats from the international community met Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and urged to select the new governor.
