Nigeria: SSS Pledges Violence-Free Election in 2015

Despite the heated political atmosphere at the moment, the top hierarchy of the State Security Services (SSS) has pledged to ensure that the forthcoming coming 2015 general elections would be free from violence and bloodbath.

The SSS Director General, Ita Ekpeyong, made this disclosure while delivering a talk at the annual lecture/award ceremony organised by the Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN), held at Events Center in Ikeja, Lagos. Ita who was speaking on the premise of the theme of the lecture tagged: "2015 General Elections-Need for Multi-Disciplinary approaches to forestall Inter-Agencies Rivalry," said as far as the service was concerned, there was virtually no rivalry among security agencies.
