Deep in Rugando valley, off a rutted dirt road and beside a grove of banana trees, there is a professional Broadway performer teaching street boys how to dance. Crowded in an empty room, acclaimed dancer Lamar Baylor shouts out instructions while a group of about 30 boys attentively and enthusiastically follow his lead.
Baylor is part of Rebecca Davis Dance Company (RDDC), an organization based in the United States that "uses dance to engage and advance the lives of underserved children in post-conflict and developing countries".
