Nigeria: Abia Blames Ego, Conflict of Interest for NDDC Failure

Nominee for Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr. Bassey Dan Abia, along with 14 other board members were grilled by the Senate Committee on Niger Delta as part of a confirmation hearing yesterday.

Speaking during his screening at the National Assembly, Mr. Abia said ego, internal frictions and conflict of interest were responsible for the inability of his predecessors to perform and deliver on the mandate of the commission.
