Nigeria: Supreme Court Sets March 24 to Hear Wealth Fund Case

The Supreme Court yesterday fixed March 24, 2014 for definite hearing in the suit filed by the Bauchi State government and others states against the federal government over the Excess Crude Account (ECA) and the Sovereign Wealth Fund (SWF).

This is coming on the heels of total breakdown of talks between the federal government and the 36 states of the federation to resolve out of court disputes over alleged illegal diversion of funds meant for the federation to maintain the ECA and the SWF.
