Basse — The Community Development officer of the World Food Programme (WFP) for West Coast Region (WCR) has noted that the WFP over 40-year support of the school feeding programme in The Gambia continued to play a significant role in increasing enrollment and enhancing retention in early childhood development centres and basic education cycle.
Njie-Adams made these remarks on Thursday during a two-day capacity building forum on regional school feeding multi-sectoral and capacity assessment at the Regional Education Directorate in Upper River Region (URR).
