Kenya: Woman Stripped in Embu for Theft

A woman who conned a boy of Sh3,400 was humiliated by members of public by being stripped and forced to walk naked in Embu town streets. The woman had a tyre placed on her neck and forced to walk in the streets between the Moi stadium in Embu town and the Barclays bank.

Other women gave her wraps to cover herself and to her tormentors to take her to the police instead of humiliating her in that manner. The mob, however, insisted that she brought it all on herself conning the little village boy of the cash after he he asked her for directions.
