On Thursday last week I returned from a four-day trip to the United Arab Emirates. I was there to attend the first world Islamic Economy Summit organised by the Amir of Dubai, Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who ascended to the throne in 2006.

The importance of this part of the world (Middle East) to Uganda continues to grow because it features prominently on the list of our leading creditors.
