Angola: Transports Ministry Signs Accord On Training of Personnel

The Angolan Ministry of Transports signed on Wednesday in London with the World Maritime University (UMM) an accord for the definition of baselines of cooperation, granting of master degree scholarship, training of experts and personnnel in the maritime and port sector.

According to a press note from the ministry that reached Angop on Thursday, for Angola, the accord was signed by the Transports minister, Augusto da Silva Tomás, while for the World Maritime University, agreement was signed by its principal, Bjorn Kjerfve.

Augusto da Silva Tomás, who is in London to attend the 38th general assembly of IMO London, is leading a delegation that integrates the director general of Maritime and Port Institute of Angola (IMPA), Víctor de Carvalho, permanent representative to IMO, Rosa Sobrinho, and senior staff of the Ministry of Transports.
