Kenya: Kwale Firm Mines New Minerals

BASE Titanium mining company in Kwale county has announced its first production of ilmenite and rutile. On Wednesday the firm announced on its website, Base Resource, the start of concentrated processing through the mineral separation plant at Kwale project and its first production of ilmenite and rutile.
Over the next several weeks processing rates will be ramped up and inventories of rutile and ilmenite built up ahead of bulk shipments in January
