Kenya: Leaders Told to Respect Governor
By Alloys Musyoka, 7 December 2013
FORMER Kwale county council chair Mshenga Ruga has called on Coast leaders to respect Governor Salim Mvurya. Ruga said some politicians are being used by Cord-affiliated Mombasa county tycoons to disrespect Mvurya, who was constitutionally elected by Kwale residents.
"Mvurya is our leader... and we will do what it takes to defend him from mafias using failures in the political domain to intimidate our first historical top county leader," Ruga told the Star on Thursday on the phone.
