Nigeria: How We Plan to Promote African Tradition, Value With Ebru TV Africa

Ebru TV is a subsidiary of Samanyolu Broadcasting Company [SBC], with headquarters in the United States, Turkey, Germany and Azerbaijan. Founded in 1993, its programmes are viewed in 80 countries through several television and radio stations. SBC is among the top four television stations in Turkey. In this interview, its regional manager in Nigeria, Mr Cemal Yigit says Ebru TV Africa was set up to promote African tradition, custom, political and socio-economic values against the perception of the continent by western media.

Your organisation has deep interest in education, health and hospital businesses. Why did it venture into television?
