Malawi: PP to Hold Primaries Soon

Aspirant Members of Parliament (MPs) and Ward Councilors in the ruling People's Party (PP) have from Monday up to Wednesday this week to collect nomination forms and submit participant fees if they are to compete in party primaries ahead of the tripartite elections next year. Acting Secretary General, Paul Maulidi, made the announcement in Blantyre's populous township of Ndirande when President Joyce Banda addressed a developmental rally.

He said: "As a part we are very organized when it comes to doing things hence from Monday up to Wednesday we have opened up to those who feel they have what it takes represent the part in an election to come forward and collect forms from our headquarters.
