The Bauchi State Agency for the control of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Leprosy and Malaria, BACATMA) has disclosed that 40,000 people are living with HIV virus in the state.
The Chairman of the Agency,Dr. Adullaziz Mohammed who made this known Monday on the occasion of World AIDS Day in Ningi local government area of Bauchi state said that out of the figure, 14,000 were already on anti-retroviral treatment, while the 18, 000 were yet to commence treatment.
