Nigeria: NDLEA Nabs 70 Over Drugs, Seizes Cannabis

Jalingo — The Taraba State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) yesterday said it arrested 70 suspects over drug related offences and seized 700 kilogrammes of cannabis between January and November this year.

The commandant, Ishaku Y. Kwajaffa, who disclosed this in an interview, added that 650 grammes of psychotropic substances were also seized within the period. He said 17 of those arrested were convicted and sentenced to various prison terms while 21 were counselled and released and others are still undergoing counselling.
