GOVERNMENT has said it has managed to contain the African swine fever (ASF) outbreak and has so far slaughtered 6,000 pig out of the 9,000 infected ones.
Agriculture and Livestock Deputy Minister Luxon Kazabu said in Lusaka only, 16 affected farms having a population of 33,000 pigs had reported the outbreak of the disease.
