Mass testing of people for their HIV/AIDS status has revealed that the prevalence of the disease has dropped to as low as 1.14% in Abuja, one of 13 states previously categorized as high risk states, higher than the national average.
Out of 16,730 people in Abuja's six council areas tested over a period of four days last week by the Institute for Human Virology (IHVN) in Nigeria to mark the World AIDS day, only 190 tested positive.
