Angola Has Made Efforts to Reinforce Fundamental Assumptions of Human Rights - UN Official

The Angolan government has made efforts to strengthen the framework of observation and respect for the fundamental assumptions of human rights, freedoms and other rights of citizens, which can be verified with the approval of the Constitution, the creation of the Ombudsman Office, the Constitutional Court , the Office of Human rights and the ongoing process of reforming the justice sector.

The statement is from the United Nations representative in Angola, Maria Ribeiro, while addressing on Tuesday the main event of the International Human Rights Day, celebrated on December 10.
