Namibia: Five Years in Jail for Phone Robbery

THE prospect of spending five years behind bars is the price a young Windhoek resident will have to pay for a street robbery he committed in a drunken state nearly three months ago.

The community expects people who commit a crime as serious as robbery to be punished appropriately, Magistrate Dinnah Usiku told Ricardo Tjatjitua (21) during his sentencing in the Windhoek Regional Court on Monday.
