Nigeria: George Bush Urges Nigerians to Hold Leaders to Account

Lagos — Ex-United States President, Mr. George W. Bush, yesterday told Nigerians to begin to hold their elected leaders accountable or forget sustainable development.

"You must hold your public hol-ders to account", Mr. Bush told over 3000 delegates at the maiden Access Bank Leadership Conference held in Lagos yesterday. Bush said Nigerian leaders must be bold and quick to sanction corruption wherever it occurs and laws must apply to all individuals equally, regardless of their status in society.
