Kenya: Back to Work, Doctors Told
By Kiplang'at Kirui, 16 December 2013
NAROK Governor Samuel Tunai has called on the striking medical workers to return to work. Speaking after visiting Narok district on Friday, Tunai urged the workers to embrace dialogue and stop the strike.
"I am ready to listen to their grievances and I will give them time to settle their issues," he said. "If they fail to dialogue with us, then as the county government we'll have no otherwise but to recruit new workers. You cannot tell the patients to wait for doctors to end the strike," he said.
