The US pop star Mariah Carey last Sunday thrilled the Angolan public at a live show, held in Luanda's Coqueiros Stadium, under the theme Happy Birthday Unitel, which is the mobile phone that sponsored her performance in this country.
In a show that lasted over two hours, the US star sang songs that are well known by the Angolan public, thus corresponding to the expectations raised by the organisers of the concert.
With a band made up by seven people and five dancers, the singer thanked the organisers and the friendliness of the audience.
The show was also marked by the performances of guest artists, who were the opening acts of the show, namely B4, Nsoki and Zona 5.
Mariah Carey, born in Huntington on 27 March 1970, is a singer, songwriter, actress and music producer. She was the first recording artist to have five debut singles in the top five positions of the Billboard Hot 100, in the United States.
She as released hit tunes such as "Dreamlover", "Hero", "Without You", "Fantasy", "One Sweet Day" and "Always Be My Baby".
