Egypt: Foreign Ministry, Al Discuss Monitoring Constitutional Referendum

Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs Ambassador Hamdi Sanad Loza met on Friday with Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, an assistant to the Arab League secretary general and head of the Arab League observers who will oversee a referendum on the amended Egyptian constitution.

Loza welcomed the Arab League's observers as they reflect the support of the pan-Arab body to the road map and Egyptians' choices," the ministry said in a statement.

The High Electoral Commission has approved the participation of the Arab League observers to oversee the constitutional vote, along with a number of international and regional institutions.
