Egypt: President Announces On Saturday Date of Referendum

President Adly Mansour will on Saturday give a statement in which he will announce the date of holding the referendum on the new constitution.

The ceremony, to be held at the presidency headquarters, will be attended by Prime Minister Dr. Hazem El-Beblawy, Grand Imam of Al Azhar, a representative of the Pope, deputies of the premier, members of the Supreme Judicial Council, National Council for Human Rights and members of the 50-member constitution panel.

Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Ehab Badawy said that the president's speech to the Egyptian people comes within the framework of starting the implementation of practical steps to achieve the goals of the 25 January and 30 June Revolutions.
