West Africa: Ghana Hosts Ecowas Ministers of Social Development Forum

Social development actors and policy makers from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) are meeting in Accra to discuss issues concerning the challenges and impact of environmental change on social institutions and vulnerability.

Representatives from national governments, the ECOWAS Commission, United Nations (UN) entities, other inter-governmental organisations, regional research institutions and social sciences networks are attending the meeting which forms part of a series of Fora of Ministers of Social Development under the auspices of UNESCO's Management of Social Transformation (MOST) Programme.
