Zanzibar — THE average amount of water being distributed by the public supply system has been dropping in the last ten years, from over three million litres previously to below 1.5 million litres now.
Already many areas are facing water scarcity, besides some being polluted by sea water, which prompted the Tanzania Association of Foresters (TAF) in Zanzibar to embark on the conservation of water sources.
