Kenya: Residents Protest Graft in Lands Office

RESIDENTS of Mui coal basin have protested corruption in the issuance of the land's tittle deeds.A resident Isunga Kinyanzui, said the land adjudication officers have been exteorting money from residents before issueing tittle deeds.

He said rumours have been spread that residents will be relocated to the troubled Sosoma area. "I cannot understand the reason why every acre costs Sh1000 and Sh30,000 to process tittle dees," he said.
