Kenya: Thika Level Five Hospital Closed Down

Thika Level 5 hospital has been closed indefinitely following the ongoing nationwide health workers' strike. The hospital, the biggest in Kiambu county, also serves Murang'a and parts of Eastern.

The hospital's superintendent Dr Patrick Nyaga yesterday said the closure has "brought a lot of suffering and pain to hundreds of residents who throng the hospital daily".
