Kenya: CCK to Regulate Digital Content Charges

COMMUNICATIONS Commission of Kenya has stepped in to control fees for digital broadcast signal in a bid to end a bitter row between broadcasters and the two licensed signal distributors.

The disagreement led some broadcasters to withdraw their content from Chinese controlled Pan-Africa Network Group (PANG) which charged Sh1.4 million per channel in Nairobi.
