The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) lead panelist, Ambassador Ashraf Rasheed, has stated that with strong performances in so many indexes under review, Nigeria has shown its readiness for the second peer review.
Rasheed stated this yesterday, when the APRM team paid a courtesy visit to the Secretary to Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, in his office in Abuja. He commended Nigeria for pioneering the second review, saying: "The APRM was set up by the African Union as a voluntary governance self-monitoring system within the framework of the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD).
