FLAMINGOS are leaving Lake Oloidien due to high water levels. The number of the birds has dropped by more than 70 per cent in the last two months with projections that this could rise.
The move has affected tour operators around the lake who had good business before the birds flew out. Conservationist David Kilo said the birds have been leaving the lake in hundreds for an unknown destination.
