West Pokot district commissioner Hezbon Kitavi died yesterday at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret. West Pokot county commissioner Peter Okwanyo said Kitavi died at 6.30am. "We are shocked at the demise of the administrator who succumbed to injuries on his legs," Okwanyo said.
Kitavi was in an accident involving a GK Land Rover and a 14-seater matatu at Kapsaret along the Eldoret-Kapsabet highway in Uasin Gishu. He was heading back to Kapenguria from Kapsabet.
