Nigeria: Sultan Urges Journalists to Be Patriotic, Objective

Sokoto — Sultan Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar has advised journalists in the country to be guided by the ethics of their profession, especially now that the country is in one of its most trying times.

He gave the advice Monday night at the 2013 merit award dinner of the state-owned Rima TV in Sokoto. According to him, journalists are instrumental to any development or otherwise, thus appealing to media practitioners to endeavour to practice their profession with decorum and fear of God.
