Kenya: Legislator Calls for End to Burial Discos

GANZE MP Peter Shehe has asked the Office of the President to ban discos at funerals to improve education standards. He said the discos are to blame for moral decay in the region.

Speaking at Ganze Township during a leaders meeting, Shehe said the discos expose young people to violence and pregnancies. "We are not against funerals but this specific form of entertainment that is responsible for acts of violence and even pregnancies among school girls," he said.
