Gambia: Alhagie Jobe Continues Testimony Under Cross-Examination

Lawyer AM Yusuf, a state counsel at the Attorney General Chambers, Tuesday continued his cross-examination of Alhagie Jobe, the deputy editor-in-chief of the Daily Observer newspaper, after he gave his defence testimony in the criminal trial involving the state against him and Mbye Bittaye, before Justice Emmanuel Nkea of the Special Criminal Court in Banjul.

While answering to questions from the state counsel, Jobe informed the court that PW4 and PW2 (Madikhan Jobarteh and Baturu Ceesay) are his colleague and co-tenant respectively, adding that the day of his arrest was a Friday and he did not stay late at work, because there is no Daily Observer publication on Saturdays.
