South Africa: Rolling Back Africa's Independence

opinion

South Sudan blamed the discrimination of Arabs to be the source of misery of the people of South Sudan under Sudanese occupation. Some classified the conflict as a Muslim/Christian conflict or Arab /African conflict. The real conflict was between the forces of oppression and domination against the forces of liberation and democracy.

The end result of the war should have been the realization of self determination and independence and the assertion of the sovereignty of the people marked by the attainment of all rights by each sovereign citizen and the building of a democratic country that would have a government that is determined by the will of the people, a government that creates an open society where political parties could contest for leadership in a tolerant and peaceful atmosphere and where those who govern are held accountable by the media and civil society so that they serve the people as public trustees without fear or favour , affection or ill will.
