Nigeria: Okorocha Declares 17 Days Holiday for Workers

To ensure that workers have time to enjoy their Christmas and New Year celebrations, Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, has approved 17 work-free days for civil servants in the state.

The governor made this public Wednesday, while hosting all the workers to a dinner tagged: "My Worker, My Worker" at Heroes Square, along Imo Concorde Hotel Road, Owerri, adding that from December 20, through January 5, 2014, all workers would observe public holidays in the state.
