Shangil Tobaya — Militiamen gang-raped three women from the Shangil Tobaya camp, North Darfur, for more than seven hours, this morning (Wednesday).
Residents of the Shangil Tobaya camp for the displaced told Radio Dabanga that in the early morning hours five women went to collect firewood southwest of the camp. At about 15km from the camp, in the area of Kutur Abu Hamra, militiamen on camels assaulted the women. Two of them managed to escape, but the tree others were seized at gunpoint. The men raped them alternately from 8am until 3.30pm.
